Nunspeet
Did you know that Nunspeet is an artists' village? At the start of the last century, artists came to this place to capture the landscape and the farming population on canvas. A popular subject in the paintings is the flock of sheep in Elspeet. If you are interested in local art and history, a visit to the Noord Veluws Museum would be worthwhile.
Vierhouten
Vierhouten is also known as the 'culinary pearl of the Veluwe'. And we understand why. Not only can you sit down here for delicious dishes in one of the restaurants, the Wild Days also takes place here in October. Then the opening of the game season is celebrated with tastings of all kinds of wild delicacies.
Elburg
On the banks of the Veluwemeer lies the picturesque port city of Elburg. This cosy Hanseatic city has a beautiful fortress that breathes history. Typical of Elburg are the cobbled side streets with the displayed flowers and plants, the high quality culinary restaurants and the many boutiques. Just outside the ramparts behind the famous Vischpoort is the harbour, which is directly connected to the Veluwemeer. Admire the beautiful fishing boats while enjoying a drink on one of the cosy terraces.
Nijkerk
Discover the city center of Nijkerk. Take a city walk through the historic center with the most beautiful church tower in the Netherlands and old warehouses. You can also take a look at Museum Nijkerk. In the area you can cycle or walk for miles on one of the clog paths. We recommend a walk on Landgoed Slichtenhorst, where you can taste a glass of wine at Wijngaard De Breede Beek. Thanks to sustainable viticulture, the vineyard has already won several awards.
Zwolle
Old city walls, the Sassenpoort and the Melkmarkt, these are just a few of the traces of the past in the historic city center of Zwolle. The glory of the Hanseatic city of Overijssel in the fifteenth century is still fully visible. Stroll through the old streets, enjoy a snack and drink on one of the lovely terraces or go shopping. While you're here, you should pay a visit to Museum De Fundatie for visual arts or the Waanders In de Broeren bookshop, which is located in a 15th-century church.
Harderwijk
Stroll along the boulevard, go shopping or meander through the picturesque squares with centuries-old buildings. Harderwijk also has a few museums. You can learn about the history of the Hanseatic city in the Stadsmuseum Harderwijk and you can admire works of art by the painter of the same name in the Marius van Dokkum Museum. Take a walk through the city with a guide and you will discover hidden stories from the Hanseatic period. 'Delicious Harderwijk' lives up to its name, because you can dine extensively there. The city even has two star restaurants: Basiliek and 't Nonnetje.
Veluwemeer
Our holiday park is situated next to the Veluwe Lake. You can enjoy our sandy beach, play at the beach playground or swim and cool off in the water. But did you know there is much more to see and experience on and around the Veluwemeer?
The Veluwemeer is over 30 square kilometres and is an elongated lake. It borders Elburg in the north and Harderwijk in the south. Various water sports can be practised on the Veluwemeer, such as windsurfing, supping or water-skiing. There are also several nice recreational spots along the Veluwemeer and cosy beach bars. You can walk or cycle beautiful routes around the lake and enjoy everything nature has to offer.
Would you like more information about what you can do on or around the Veluwemeer? Or would you like to rent a sup or boat, for example? Then come along to our reception!
Walking and cycling in Ermelo
Wander through fairytale forests, over vast moors and along sand drifts. The forests of Leuvenum extend around the Leuvenums stream, which meanders through the Veluwe landscape. This is a lovely place to explore via the many cycling and walking routes. We also recommend visiting the Speulder forest with the dancing trees, as is a ride along the Veluwemeer.
The hidden village
Hidden in the woods near Vierhouten is 'the hidden village'. During the Second World War, this was a hiding camp for Jews, also known as 'look-outcamp'. It consisted of 9 huts where a total of about 80 people were hiding. There is a memorial on Tongerenseweg.
Walibi Holland
Not for the faint of heart, because you'll scream your lungs out in Walibi Holland. This is the place to be if you're looking for an adrenaline rush. You can choose from various roller coasters and exciting attractions. Take a dizzying ride in the Goliath or dangle at the bottom of the spectacular Condor rollercoaster. Of course, a ride in UNTAMED, the wooden rollercoaster, should not be missed!
Amersfoort Zoo
Amazing for young and old, because in Amersfoort Zoo you can see the animals in a very special way through the 'Climb-Everything Route'. You can climb above the bears, step on a raft among the birds, sail on the Expedition River past the giraffes and walk across the island between the lemurs.
Dolfinarium
Hear (and smell!) the hulking walruses and sea lions. Marvel at the jumping skills of the dolphins, stroke rays and sharks at the Roggenrif. It's all possible in the Dolfinarium! Please note that the Dolfinarium is closed during the low season.
Indoor sand sculpture exhibition
In Elburg you can go to the world's largest indoor sand sculpture exhibition which is completely circular. A beautiful and impressive exhibition that is fun for all ages. Historical stories about boats and bibles come to life through the sand sculptures.
Sauna Drôme

Golf course Rijk van Nunspeet
Golf Course Het Rijk van Nunspeet is without a doubt the most beautiful golf course in the Veluwe. Three different 18-hole loop combinations can be played. Golfers and non-golfers are welcome to enjoy a cup of coffee, lunch or drinks at Golf Course Het Rijk van Nunspeet. The clubhouse is open daily and, weather permitting, you can enjoy a beautiful view of the golf course from the terrace. The restaurant serves lunch as well as dinner.
